CHINA HONG KONG
Yiulian Dockyards Limited
Yiulian Dockyards Limited (hereinafter referred to as "YL") can be traced back to the first ship repairs factory in China, namely Tongmao Iron Factory, established by China Merchants during the Westernization Movement in 1874. Yiulian Dockyards Limited was established in 1964 and was initially named Yiu Lian Machinery Repairing Works Limited. In 1984, in order to highlight the company's main business of ship repair, it was renamed as Yiulian Dockyards Limited.
After nearly sixty years of development, YL now has two major shipyards in Hong Kong's Tsing Yi Island and Yam O, with a total length of about 912 meters of repair docks, ranking among the top shipyards in the Far East region. While focusing on ship repair as its main business, YL actively engages in various businesses such as offshore platform repair, specialized vessel repair, dock facility repair, harbor tug services, and nearshore engineering. It has evolved from a single ship repair enterprise to a strong diversified comprehensive enterprise and has become a core enterprise of the China Merchants Industrial Group.
